Paramount Transportation Systems Commits $100k to OIC as New Corporate Partner

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 25, 2015) – Paramount Transportation Systems (Paramount) today announced its official partnership with Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC), a world leader in pediatric orthopaedic care, education and research. Through OIC’s Corporate Giving Program, Paramount will donate $5 for every move it completes anywhere in the world. The program is expected to raise more than $100,000 for OIC’s new pediatric orthopaedic surgery center, which is scheduled to open next year in downtown Los Angeles.

“The Paramount family strongly believes in the mission of OIC. Our entire organization is excited about the positive impact we will make in the lives of children, through our partnership with OIC,” said Grace Bishar, co-founder and chief financial officer of Paramount Transportation Systems.

Paramount recently launched the program during a special employee event held at its San Marcos, California headquarters. Michael Sullivan, vice-president and chief philanthropy officer, and Jaime Rojas Jr., associate director of corporations, represented OIC at the event. They presented OIC’s plan to build the new surgery center, which will be the only one in Southern California specifically designed to treat children’s orthopaedic traumas and conditions. Yvonne Madregon, a 4-year old double-amputee who currently receives care at OIC, joined as a special guest.

“Partners like Paramount help make it possible for OIC to provide the best orthopaedic care to children. We are grateful for their investment in our mission, and look forward to expanding our partnership,” said Michael Sullivan, vice-president and chief philanthropy officer of OIC.
