Leah's Story

From Leah:

In the beginning it seemed like nothing. My ankle just hurt a bit when I walked. It didn’t go away, so I told my dad. Being a dad, he called a friend, who suggested we see Dr. [Anthony] Scaduto. My appointment was the very next day, which turned out to be a good thing. I had an X-ray and then an MRI. When Dr. Scaduto called our house at 7:00 that night, we knew it was serious. My dad explained I had a bone infection in my ankle and I needed surgery. While we drove to the hospital, he asked me how I was feeling. I said I was ready. I was a little scared to go in, of course, but so grateful that we caught this in time. I stayed in the hospital a week, until it was certain the infection was completely cleared. Dr. Scaduto and his team were really nice. I give them a 10 out of 10 for “perfect” care, because my ankle is now perfect, too.
